PARAGRAPH:
Notice: The first thing you will list for your paragraph will be your name, your shop name and its url. Do not fail to include this or your entry won't be counted as in.
Your paragraph MUST contain 4-5 sentences that describe your item including each piece and accessory. Also tell what fabric(s) was used, and specify any unique techniques that came into play if applicable. Please identify what was the inspiration for your design also.
Please write your paragraph in the third person.
For example:
Jane's dress for Tyler is titled "Clever Concoction." She constructed it from the finest silk with an overlay of chiffon. The embroidered train delivers a stunning effect as Tyler is leaving the ballroom. Jane spent many hours executing this beautiful blue-grey ballroom inspired by the gown worn by Marisa in The Wandering Countess. This OOAK fashion is available in her shop now!
Please do not copy this paragraph and adapt it to your outfit. Write with the intention of making people want to go to your website to check its availabilty and close the sale!!! I will give some leeway to people who are not/don't want to be writers, but please give it your best shot. Third person narrative is a must!
**ALL PICTURES must be 300 dpi. If you don't know how to make your pictures 300 dpi, just read the article that follows by #1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Wiggs. I think after you try this, you will want more of your photos to be this quality.
All right, grasshoppers, print this out because it’s going to save you all kinds of time and trouble. Oh, and money. How many times have you been asked to send in a photo, “300dpi” or better… Thus leading you on a hunt to a) figure out what 300 dpi is, whether or not your photos possess this elusive quality (probably not; right-click and select Properties and you’ll see) and c) how to get your hands on one without bugging your publisher’s PR rep yet again….
People will tell you that you have to have “Photoshop,” an expensive RAM-hog program, in order to edit your digital photos. You don’t. You just need to go to http://www.irfanview.com and download their swift little free program. To convert a shot to 300dpi, right-click the photo. Select “Open With” and then select Irfanview. On the menu bar, select Image–>Resize/Resample and in the box that comes up, change the DPI to 300. You might also want to reduce the size in pixels, too. Et voila! (Save it, and) Your photo is ready for print.
