Photographs:
I have to go over with you, one more time, what is expected of you if you wish to be published in FDQ. (Update received June 18, 2013).

1. If I ask for 2 photos for the magazine it means l would like to pick the one I think will work best. Therefore, you need to make 2 unique shots - don't shoot one, then move doll slightly and reshoot! Each photograph should make a point that relates to the article or supports the info within.
2. FDQ will no longer accept any photograph that is not correctly sized and formatted. Low-rez and out of focus shots will not be considered. Low quality and small size photos do no favors for the artists. If anyone cannot create the appropriate size and quality photos, they cannot be featured - no exceptions.
3. NO STANDS! At this point everyone should be able to submit photos that look professional. Wrinkled sheet backgrounds, stands, and messy hair are not appropriate.
4. To help make sure nothing is changed or distorted during email transfer, you will be provided information for uploading your pictures directly to our website via email.
5. I will, of course, continue to help you with your pictures any way I can. However, the best way to ensure you will be included in a magazine article is to concentrate on taking better pictures. Do not finish your item last minute, and then not have adequate lighting to showcase your item properly. Also, take a lot of pictures, and allow time to edit them as necessary. Cropping out items that are not relevant to the story is advised. Practice, practice, practice!! Also, I will leave you with this information which I hope will provide answers to some of your photography questions. Follow it along or go down and watch the video - it definitely won't hurt!
